Stir Crazy Stirs Things Up With A Fresh Executive Team
And A Crazy Growth Plan

CHICAGO (August 2, 2007) - Stir Crazy, a Chicago based full service Asian restaurant, is stirring up new business with new ownership and a new executive team to head its rapid expansion. Stir Crazy was acquired by The Walnut Group, a private equity fund based in Cincinnati, OH, in November, 2006. Stir Crazy has developed an impressive growth plan that will expand its current 9 locations to over 50 in the next several years. The new team is improving on, and polishing up, the successful concept with a well-capitalized and proactive plan for expansion and growth.

The acquisition was the collaboration of Frederic Mayerson, Chairman of The Walnut Group and Chairman of Stir Crazy, and Michael Strauss, CEO of Stir Crazy.

Mayerson's restaurant experience includes being one of the founders of Chi Chi's Mexican Restaurants and the founder of Pinons, a fine dining establishment in Aspen, Colorado. Additionally, he has led a series of successful ventures with a primary focus on the retail sector.

Strauss has a diverse background in restaurants, media and marketing. Strauss has held numerous investments in the restaurant industry as an active owner in both quick serve and casual dining. He has consistently improved shareholder value through improved sales, profitability, and unit development in full service casual dining establishments. Strauss was the creator of the highly-acclaimed Harry's Pacific Grill.

Greg Carey, President and Chief Operating Officer, is a former Chief Operating Officer of P.F. Chang's China Bistro. Carey moved over to Pei Wei Asian Diner as a Development Partner. Prior to joining Stir Crazy, Carey served as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Buckhead Life Restaurant Group. Carey is also the former Chief Operating Officer of the Rainforest Café.

STIR CRAZY EXEC TEAM

James MacKenzie, Senior Vice President of Development, brings to the Company extensive restaurant development experience, including his prior position as Vice President of Design and Development for Bravo Development Inc., owner of Brio and Bravo restaurants. Prior to Bravo Development Inc. MacKenzie was Vice President of Construction with Il Fornaio America Corp., a high end Italian restaurant concept. Prior to that he served in a similar capacity with Chevy's Mexican Restaurants.

Heading up Real Estate and expansion is Robert Miles. Prior to joining Stir Crazy, Miles served as Vice President of Real Estate for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Director of Real Estate for Bravo Development Inc, Ruby Tuesday Restaurants and J Alexander's. Miles is also a partner in Restaurant Development Advisors, a national real estate consulting group based in Michigan.

Peter Nolan, Director of Marketing, comes to Stir Crazy with over 10 years experience building world class brands. Most recently, Nolan was Director of Marketing of Potbelly Sandwich Works, developing the marketing infrastructure that allowed the company to open 120 company-owned stores. Before joining Potbelly, Nolan was Director of Integrated Marketing for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.

Stir Crazy offers a diverse menu of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food, in a fun, vibrant atmosphere with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients and bold flavors. A hallmark of the restaurant is its "Market Bar" where guests pile wok bowls with fresh vegetables and spices, pick a meat or fish and a noodle or rice, and ladle in their favorite sauce...then watch as the wok chef cooks their individual creations. For those who prefer to order off the menu, Stir Crazy has a highly-acclaimed and extensive menu that features specialty dishes such as Thai Basil Beef, Fuji Tuna Salad, and Singapore Shrimp.
